In the "Processing" development environment, a wave was simulated using a physical equation that describes a damped oscillation. If the distance falls below a minimum distance (threshold value), an ultrasonic distance sensor triggers a wave via the microcontroller, which then flattens out.
Application
A signal is triggered by pedestrians passing by. The excited wave is projected onto a wall in real time using a projector and simultaneously amplified acoustically by the sound of a drop of water. By using a cargo bike and a battery, the installation can be realized in any location and without infrastructure.
